Renouned RANGOLI ARTIST- Shri Vasant Thithe visited K.V. Ganeshkhind, Pune to guide students of Art's Club to draw rangoli. In the assembly he drew a rangoli in 15 minutes on a water trey.

12th Jan. 2011

Under the AEP program, Dr.(Mrs.) Patil, a member from Ram Krishna Math conducted a workshop for students of classes 9th & 11th celebrating international youth day. Five groups enacted role-plays depcting problems and solutions for peer-pressure.

10th Jan. 2011

A member from Ram Krishna Math, visited the school and addressed the students in commemmoration of the 150th Birth-Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

09th Dec. 2010

Four students from the vidyalaya of classes VIII & IX interviewed renouned ace Gold Medalist, Olympic and Asiad Shooter Mrs. Anjali Bhagwat at her residence and were inspired by her achievements.

On every Monday of November 2010, Classes 9th-A,B & C presented their Class Radios Shows with every child of the class presenting/participating in some items. Each class presented an English Song. This was a joint effort and a grand success. The veriety programmes presented consisted of interviews with school Principal, Krishna Patil-Mountainer, Plays, Anecdotes, Advertisements related to school life, Jokes, Quiz and very well written reports were sent to the press. The effort was highly appreciated and very commendable.

Dear Parents,

As you know the school is reopening on 24th August 2009 and though the situation of swine flu is under control, as a precautionary measure you are requested to send your child with the following items:

  1. Please ensure that the child wears a three layered cotton cloth mask every day. Wash it with hot water & detergents and dry it at the end of the day. Please keep at least two masks for use. Use fresh mask for the next day.
  2. Instant Hand Sanitiser(if possible) for hands are the major carriers of germs.
  3. Properly washed handkerchief/napkin.
  4. Drinking water bottle.
  5. Home made hygienic food.
  6. Properly washed and pressed uniform.

Please Note

If the child is sick, please don't send him/her to the school till he/she is recovered from sickness.

Please Remember:

PROTECTIVE MEASURES AGAINST SWINE FLU(H1N1)
  • Cover Your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue when coughing and sneezing.
  • Discard used tissues immediately after use.
  • Regularly wash your hands with soap or disinfectant and water.
  • Use alchohol-based hand sanitiser to kill germs on your hands.
  • Wash your hands before and after eating.
  • Avoid hugging, kissing & shaking hands when greeting.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Don't keep contact with persons coming from outside India.
  • If you have flu-like symptoms, keep a distance of atleast two metres away from other people.
  • If you have flu-like symptoms, stay home from work, school or crowded places for atleast 7-10 days, and seek medical advice. Get checked from any medical officer/hospital.
  • Drink plenty of water.

50 Students of Classes VIII -X participated in the "SPARK" program organised by INFOSYS INDIA LTD, Pune on 21st Feb 2009 in which the above three students have been selected for "Catch them young 2008-09 - Summer Vacation Program starting on 27th April to 8th May 2009."

REPORT OF VISIT OF Hon’ Able DR.A.P.J.ABDUL KALAM

FORMER PRESIDENT OF INDIA IN ARDE, PASHAN, PUNE ON 14-01-2009.

Former President of India hon’able Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam said “ Ignited mind of youth in the most powerful resource over the earth, under the earth and above the earth.He was speaking while interacting with students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Ganeshkhind & ARDE Nursery School during his visit to ARDE, Pashan Pune on 14.01.2009.The programme was held at the Armament Auditorium of ARDE, Pune. Principal Dr (Mrs) Kranti Kumar formally welcome him when Director ARDE, Pashan, Mr. Surendra Kumar Outstanding Scientist , Director ARDE and Chairman Vidalaya Mangement Committee, KV, Ganeshkhind Pune shared dais with him. Ex-student of KV Ganeshkhind Ms Hansa Padmanabhan, who bagged international prizes was felicitated with the hands of Dr Kalam.He enjoyed teaching more than as a Scientist at ISRO/DRDO or the first citizen of India. This honest reply came as an answer to one of the questions asked by students. There are three key social members who will contribute towards making our country corruption free, they are father, mother and the teacher, came as a reply to question by another student.To the question “Why do we develop missiles when we talk of o world peace”. He answered that “ Strength respects strength” is the reason behind it.He said knowledge comprises of three components – Creativity, righteousness and courage.He asked the student, how many of them would like to go to Mars. When everyone raised their hands, he joyously added that he would meet them there. He spoke about the vision 2020 and administered many others to the students and pointed out that aiming for small goal is a crime.“ I will work with integrity and succeed in integrity “.
